June 12, 2009
Cluj-Napoca - 12 June 2009 - ISDC, provider of nearshore outsourcing services for the development and testing of business critical ICT solutions, announces today a change in the executive management layer so as to further support and consolidate growth.
Eddy Vermeire is appointed as CEO and will take the lead over the management team in Hilversum and Cluj, Romania, location where ISDC has its own software development centre for already 10 years. Theo Punter is appointed as sales and marketing director and is responsible for sales and for defining and implementing successful and consistent marketing strategies with the aim to approach and develop new markets. Cor Geertsma, the current CEO, will step into the Supervisory Board and, in addition, he will engage into specific tasks in the area of corporate development such as strategic partnership management and business networking in Romania. Harmen Coops stays part of the new team and continues his role of Director Operations.
Eddy Vermeire has gathered extensive knowledge and experience in the ICT world as a member of the board of directors. Vermeire comes from CyberCity3D, provider of Geo-Web solutions, where he was a Board member besides his ad interim position of CFO. Prior to this, he was for four years member of the executive team of Ordina, ICT service provider. He also took the CEO position for six years with The VisionWeb, while previously taking the CEO role in PinkRoccade Finance.
Theo Punter brings outstanding entrepreneur and market expertise. Punter is partner in the strategic consultancy company Future Footprints, where he is responsible for the business development, both as a founder and partner. Punter proved his entrepreneur ambition with the recent foundation of ICT service provider Bartosz and the 1995 company - The VisionWeb - that he founded and managed. The latter, despite the market approach, became very successful and 10 years after, it was taken over by Ordina.
Cor Geertsma, CEO of ISDC: "By extending our executive team with people like Eddy Vermeire and Theo Punter who have impressive expertise, we have, in one move, brought business power inside the company in order to further develop the current position of ISDC both in the Netherlands and Romania. Nearshore outsourcing is, in the current market situation, very interesting for businesses that give extra value to flexible in-depth expertise in combination with cost-effectiveness. Eddy and Theo have proven knowledge of strategic and business economic developments based on which I fully trust that they will guide the future growth of our company in an innovative and responsible way. Eddy and Theo have also become shareholders of ISDC."
