Cluj, February 2012. Under the headline “We love startups”, the organizers of the Startup Weekend in Cluj invite young, creative, and talented minds to experience a 54 hour marathon which focuses on building web or mobile applications with potential to turn into a breakthrough business over the course of just a week-end. ISDC will be actively present in the event by means of the direct contribution of Cor Geertsma, co-founder and member of the Supervisory Board of ISDC. Cor will act both as a speaker and mentor in the event.

This community event brings together people with different skill sets: software developers, graphics designers, and business people. Their challenge is to build online applications and develop commercial cases around them. It is a unique opportunity to interact with passionate and ambitious people and to benefit from the expertise of mentors and their advice in building a successful business. Submitted applications will be evaluated based on 3 main criteria: business model, customer validation, and execution. The jury is looking for applications that prove the sound quality of a business plan and show excellent teamwork under the pressure of time.

ISDC supports this type of community initiative considering not only the type of business we are in – software services and solutions, but also the core corporate values that we want to promote internally and externally. We are driven, as a business, by a genuine entrepreneurial spirit and want to share our best practices with young talents, contributing thus to this innovative community.
